POLICE have seized more than $100,000 worth of “precious gems” and cash - alleged to be proceeds of crime - as well as amphetamines during a search of a Gold Coast property.
Officers raided the Coomera property on Tuesday and allegedly found about $95,000, amphetamines, cannabis, a Ford Ranger and $114,000 worth of precious gems.
Police will allege the items are believed to be proceeds of crime.
The search was conducted by investigators from the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad (MOCS).
A Coomera woman, 36, has since been charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of property used in the commission of a crime and other related offences
She is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Acting Detective Inspector Troy Lehmann said the raid would send “a strong message” to those allegedly selling illegal substances.
“Our pursuit of those selling drugs in the South Eastern area is relentless,” he said.
