A GoFundMe has raised thousands of dollars to help the family of a man who died after a crash in the Gold Coast hinterland last week.

On June 15, Queensland Emergency Services were called after a car crashed into a tree on Beechmont Road in Lower Beechmont at about 10.18pm.

Paramedics assessed a 25-year-old Coomera man, Hunter Brown, who was driving a silver Mazda MX5.

Hunter’s sister Ayesha Brown started a GoFundMe to help the family with funeral and memorial costs.

After 92 donations by June 21, the GoFundMe had raised $7605.

“On June 15th we lost a beautiful soul, Hunter Brown,” she said.

“Hunter was my beloved brother but he was also a son and a best friend to many.

“Losing Hunter so suddenly has rocked all of our worlds and there are no words to describe the pain we are all feeling.

“Hunter had such a great impact on all the people he met and made our worlds a little brighter when he was around us.

“His smile and laugh was contagious and he never failed to have a good time, whether that be fixing his or others cars, driving the mountains or even just chilling with friends and family.”

Ms Brown said the family was struggling with the financial stress of organising a funeral and farewell for Hunter.

“In this time of need, we are reaching our to Hunter’s community to ask for a small contribution to help ease the immediate pressure on the Brown family,” she said.

Hunter’s friends donated and left a message to show their love and support for the family.

“A beautiful friend and one of my main supporters. I will miss him terribly,” Rachel Fraser said after donating $250.

“An absolute shock and loss. Will do anything to help you and the family out my love. Love, Klara, Noah, Tony, Cristina and Louie,” Klara Kerschbaum said after donating $150.

“You were loved by all Hunter. Thanks for the mx5 wisdom and being an icon for mx5 mountain drivers,” Coby Corbett said after leaving his donation.
