IT'S the hot topic of the day following the latest border decision in Queensland - now readers are having their say.

From those who backed the decision of Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to open borders to most of NSW from November 3, to those who were against it, Bulletin readers have weighed in.

A total of 32 local government areas in greater Sydney will remain banned from entering Queensland following Friday's announcement.

Reader Lauraine Eldridge gave her thoughts on Facebook: "It’s all about politics not our health."

BORDER DECISION SLAMMED BY COAST BUSINESS BOSSES

Robert Moffat added: "Wow think about it it’s pure stupidity the city still visits the country no borders there."

Emily Merrett Pizzinato said: "Bad bloody call. I want to see my family. We have it under control and measures to manage it. It’s ludicrous. Businesses are going bust. Families can’t see each other. People are taking their lives."

There was support, with Caroline Raven adding: "Great call....keeping Qlders safe."

Noel John Burgess: "Check out results here in New Zealand and you would have to agree, but should have shut down very early."

While Phil Bailey questioned the timing: "Why change it on a work day and not on a Sunday it will cause more traffic problems she has no idea."

Dee Raphael was philosophical: "It doesn't matter what either side of the debate goes, you will always have people for and against, it's just the way it goes..."
