COMMUNITY consultation will be held on the location of a proposed network of pedestrian “green” bridges across the city.
The Gold Coast Bulletin yesterday revealed Mayor Tom Tate was pushing to fund at least five bridges as part of a $554 million congestion-busting initiative.
The first bridge proposed would connect central Surfers Paradise with Chevron Island.
Cr Tate said he wanted it to run between Lionel Perry Park at the river-end of Cavill Ave to Austin Gilchrist Park on the Island.
