THOSE protesting against mandatory vaccinations on the Gold Coast this weekend could be slapped with a $4000 fine if they do the wrong thing, police have warned.

Anti-vaxxers have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise $2500 for a Millions March rally at Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach on November 27.

It has already raised $250 so far.

Controversial politician Pauline Hanson is expected to attend the rally.

Crossbench senator Jacqui Lambie issued a blistering spray aimed at Ms Hanson on Monday after the One Nation leader introduced a bill to ban vaccine mandates imposed by the states.

She slammed One Nation as the “enemy of healthcare workers” and told Ms Hanson to “be an adult and put others before yourself”.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said officers would take action if needed to keep the community safe from a further spread of Covid-19 at the rally.

“While the QPS recognises and supports the right to peaceful assembly and protest, those who attend are reminded of restrictions and requirements associated with the CHO directives,” she said.

“Police will take action against any deliberate breach of the CHO directives.

“For those taking part in protest action who deliberately and recklessly ignore the CHO’s directions you could face fines up to $4135 for failing to comply with CHO direction.”

Division 10 Councillor Darren Taylor urged Gold Coasters to get the jab so the borders could reopen.

“If we want to have our businesses open, it’s important we all do our bit to contribute and hopefully our lives will return to normal in the near future,” he said.

The Millions March group will protest against mandatory vaccinations and passports.

It said any donations it received would ensure the protest had “an awakening impact on a much larger scale”.

The fundraiser stated the money would also go to the organisation and its promotions.

The Bulletin made attempts to reach the organiser of the fundraiser, Sabina Berry, for comment.

Different groups have staged regular protests at the Coolangatta-Tweed border since Covid restrictions were enforced.

While most have been peaceful, at least seven people were charged and 55 fines were issued during a border protest in September.

Thousands of people marched in Brisbane’s CBD on Saturday for an anti-vax ‘freedom rally’, but there were no reported arrests.
