Gold Coast tobacco tycoon Travers ‘Candyman’ Beynon is making a bold return to the city’s social scene by throwing the “wildest party in the world”.
The multi-millionaire businessman, owner and managing director of the Freechoice tobacco chain took to Instagram to announce registrations were open for his next big soiree.
“It’s party time… Australia Day Party 26th,” he declared.
Those keen to attend were instructed to fill out a registration form via Candyman’s @candyshopmansion Instagram bio.
The form asked potential party-goers for their contact details, a link to any social media profiles, a recent picture of themselves, whether they had a Candyman or Freechoice tattoo and their preferred cigarette brand.
A self-styled “playboy”, Candyman rose to fame for his internet exploits showing off his wealth, extravagant lifestyle and the many women that are a part of his life.
A talented Aussie Rules player in his youth, he took up modelling when his football career came to an end due to an injury.
The colourful businessman now oversees an extensive property portfolio and a tobacconist shops empire.
Wild parties at his lavish Helensvale mansion - which boasts a 21-car garage, 250,000L infinity pool complete with swim-up bar, grotto and 27-tonne statue - earnt Candyman a reputation as a Glitter Strip social scene legend.
Mr Beynon’s much-hyped return to his partyboy ways followed what appeared to be a brief hiatus from his regular social media posts in recent months.
He also stepped back from hosting his infamous annual Christmas party last year.
Candyman revived his Instagram presence two weeks ago following news he and wife Taesha were on the lookout for new girlfriends.
Social media followers have welcomed back his return with open arms, while others poked fun at the infamous parties.
“Can confirm, best party I have ever been to,” one Instagram user wrote.
“Will this one finish at 6pm again?” another commented.
“Okay, I’ll come if you really want,” another said.
