Burleigh restaurant gets revamped and installs boutique sports bar

A new sports bar on the Gold Coast is giving patrons a shot at discount drinks - here’s how to do it.

Harry's Steak Bistro and Bar has only been open for two years, but they have decided to give it a revamp, now including newly built sports bar. The owners are calling for locals to bring in their memorabilia (either from local comps, or big sporting stars) so they can show it off. A NEW sports bar in Burleigh Heads wants patrons to show off their sporting memorabilia and trophies on its glory wall - and is offering discounts for doing so.

Harry’s Steak Bistro and Bar, which opened just over two years ago, has just completed a revamp with a third of the space transformed into an upmarket boutique sports bar.

“People can put it in the cabinet, have bragging rights and become a special Harry’s member.

“They can put their items on loan for a period of time. While it’s in the cabinet they’ll get a members discount,” he said, adding the amount is still being decided.

“We think that it will be a nice addition to Burleigh.”

But the memorabilia cabinet isn’t just for celebrity sports stars - locals can display anything from as small as a personally won club-level trophy or medal.

The restaurant previously seated 170 people but 70 of those seats have gone to the sports bar. It features five TV screens.
