Bull shark filmed cruising upstream at Evans Head

A BULL shark has spooked fishermen, spotted cruising up Evans River at Iron Gates in Evans Head on the weekend.

BULL sharks are beginning to be spotted in waterways as temperatures heat and the creatures swim up stream to drop off their pups.

Footage has emerged of anglers hooking up a three metre specimens in the Logan River and now more has emerged out of northern NSW.

Boatie Jordan Butler and his mates got a shock during a trip on the Evans River at Iron Gates in Evans Head when they spotted a large shark in the river on Saturday.

The footage shows the animal’s fins clearly visible out of the water.

“Was driving up the river when we saw a bull shark across the river, I pulled out my phone and another mate started driving closer to it, then the shark (disappeared) like nothing,” Mr Butler said.
