Smart cameras will soon check if you’re social distancing and wearing a mask

A GOLD Coast marriage celebrant who performed one of Australia’s first legal same-sex marriages will be starring on Big Big Brother 2020.

It was announced this morning Shane Vincent, a 39-year-old marriage celebrant from Tweed Heads, will star on the reality TV show which airs three nights a week from next Monday at 7.30pm on the Seven Network.

He is the second Gold Coast contestant to be announced.

Mr Vincent will join “larrikin” former SUNS AFL player Daniel Gorringe on the show.

Mr Vincent has been described as an effervescent husband and father-of-three with a wicked sense of humour.

‘Eaten alive’: Titans fears over competition expansion

According to his Big Brother profile, Mr Vincent entered the reality TV show to prove to himself and his kids “anything is possible”.

He’s previously worked as a DJ, MC and airline cabin crew and is promised to provide plenty of entertainment as he was a “born entertainer, funny and full of energy”.

Mr Vincent’s strategy to win the game is forming good relationships.

His weaknesses are listed as stupidity, any signs of bullying and lack of food. He’s hoping his sense of humour will get him through the game.

If Mr Vincent wins, he said he would spend the prize money on “good times with his friends and family”.

Mr Gorringe, 27 from the Gold Coast, is also hoping humour will get him through the competition.

He played AFL for the Suns and Carlton in 2015, before turning to a career in real estate.

In his Big Brother profile, he’s been described as a big tall class clown who is terrible at football, said he is coming into the house to be his “unique, funny, weirdo” self and play to his strengths – making people laugh and being an honest, genuine guy.

He expects to be the life of the party.

A desire to push himself again, along with a little nudge from girlfriend Ana, saw him apply for Big Brother 2020.

If Mr Gorringe wins the $250,000 prize money he plans to look after his family, go on a holiday, buy a golden retriever and put down a house deposit.

After six years off our screens, 20 housemates are back in the Big Brother House, which will be located in North Head, Manly.

The custom-built house will be fitted with cameras and microphones recording their movements, 24 hours a day.

In the end, Australia will decide in a live finale which of the final three Housemates deserves to win Big Brother and the $250,000 prize money.
