A hinterland road has been closed to traffic after a truck became stuck trying to make its way around a tight bend, with authorities undertaking a major operation to get the route back open.

A hinterland road will be closed for hours after a truck became stuck while trying to negotiate a tight bend.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Beechmont Rd in Lower Beechmont after the truck became wedged at 8.50am on Thursday.
The rear of the vehicle had slipped down an embankment, making it impossible to safely move.
The road was closed to traffic between Brushbox Rd and North Rd as a result.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson told the Bulletin the road was likely to be closed for most of the day, with a crane ordered to remove the stricken truck.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
