GLOBAL sex symbol turned activist Pamela Anderson has hit the Gold Coast, greeted on arrival into Brisbane Airport by a flower-bearing limo driver.
The former star of Baywatch and Playboy magazine cover favourite appeared thrilled at the gesture on arrival by Ultra Tune executive Jimmy Seoud.
Mr Seoud is acting as Ms Anderson’s limo driver whilst she stays on the Glitter Strip for the week filming a TV ad for the roadside assist and car repair franchise giant.
Mr Seoud told the Bulletin: “She came out of the airport and I was waiting for her. I said ‘Welcome to Australia on behalf of Ultra Tune’. I gave her a kiss on the check and she grabbed me and gave me a kiss back on the other cheek.
“She said ‘Thank you’ and said they smelled wonderful. She seemed to really appreciate the gesture.
“She looked great. I was thinking ‘Wow’...considering she had a long flight.”
Her arrival had been set back several days reportedly due to a family situation but she is also believed to have been held up when Swedish prosecutors last week dropped an investigation into an historic rape allegation against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

She has been a long time Assange supporter and has told the Bulletin one of her priorities whilst on the Gold Coast would be to press Prime Minister Scott Morrison to do more for Assange who is languishing in a British prison fighting a US bid to extradite him on serious charges filed under the Espionage Act.
Ultra Tune boss Sean Buckley, whose company is sparing no expense on Ms Anderson’s star turn for his next commercial, said he had been a tad nervous about the delay but said Ms Anderson and her team were very professional to deal with and he was looking forward to the week.
“We know Australians love her and Australia is a happy place for her too. She really likes the people here and we really like her back.
“That’s reassuring for us in terms of having picked the right person for the ad - the response we will get for showing her will be awesome.”
