Barbie star Margot Robbie has been spotted at a popular Italian eatery on the Gold Coast.

The actress, 33, is back in her hometown shortly after arriving at Brisbane airport.

Ms Robbie has was seen keeping it casual in a black Chanel bucket hat - reportedly worth a whopping $2600 - with a grey top, shorts and a pair of neon crocs while dining at Domanis Cafe and Restaurant, Thursday afternoon.

The Aussie A-lister enjoyed a drink before taking a couple of pictures with Domanis owner John Kaz.

Ms Robbie arrived at Brisbane airport with husband Tom Ackerley on Wednesday.

She declined to comment when approached by the Bulletin.

Ms Robbie has been riding a wave of success as the eponymous character in the popular Barbie film, which has raked in more than $1 billion at the box office globally.
