Three Gold Coast pools are among those named the best in Australia for 2024.
Online pool marketplace Poolz released its list of the biggest, boldest and best pools, with properties at Mermaid Waters and Broadbeach among the winners.
Based on publics votes and a panel of industry experts, Middle Harbour Magic in Victoria was named Australia’s Best Pool, also taking out Best Out of Ground Pool and the People’s Choice award for Best Concrete Pool.

Three Gold Coast pools were also recognised: a stunning plunge pool in Arundel won Best Plunge Pool, a custom concrete pool at Broadbeach took home Best Resort-Style Pool, while Best Glass Window Poolwent to a pool at Mermaid Waters.
Founder and CEO of Poolz Tony Loxton said the calibre of pools was particularly high this year.
“The Poolz Awards are a chance to celebrate Australia’s best pools and this year’s nominees were exceptional,” he said.
“We are a nation that’s obsessed with pools and whether we have a tight space in the backyard, live on a challenging slope, or want to make the most of waterfront or valley views, Australia’s talented pool builders are up to the task.
“We applaud the incredible work of all of the local designers, architects and builders who were behind this year’s winning pools.
“We were blown away by the winning designs this year – from plunge pools in urban environments to elevated shipping containers, they are all stunning and have no doubt added a lot of value to their home.”
AWARD WINNERS
A panel of industry experts judged the 20 main award categories on form, function and first impressions, with the following pools taking out the remaining awards:
■ Australia’s Coolest Pool and Best Lap Pool: a heated lap pool by Feature Pools in Armadale Vic
■ Most Expensive Pool (builds 300K+) and Best Infinity Pool: a beautifully-designed and landscaped L-shaped pool by Feature Pools with its own shower platform in Malvern East Vic
■ Best Acreage Pool: a Swimco concrete pool with vineyard and water views at Red Hill South Vic
■ Best Family Pool: a custom concrete pool by FreeStyle Pools with valley views at Holgate NSW
■ Best Hamptons-Style Pool: a Sydney Poolscapes creation amid chic white touches at Leppington NSW
■ Best Modern Pool: a plunge pool with modern design elements including cantilevered cross beams, garden lighting and a feature tree by Coolabah Building and Landscapes at Albert Park Vic
■ Best Pool and Entertainment Area: a luxurious pool, spa and entertaining area complete with a half basketball court by Coolabah Building and Landscapes at Lysterfield Vic
■ Best Pool and Landscaping: an inner-city oasis with immaculate landscaping by Custom Creations Landscapes and Pools at Paddington NSW
■ Best Pool and Slide: an Aqua Technics pool with an aqua ledge and slide at Baldivis WA
■ Best Pool and Spa: a stunning pool and spa by Oceanscape Pools at Cobbitty NSW
■ Best Pool Design for a Small Yard: an Eco Plunge Pools design nestled in a small yard at Brighton Vic
■ Best Pool on a Steep Slope: a striking installation of a container pool by Shipping Container Pools on a sloping block at Doonan Qld
■ Best Pool with a View: a pool and pool pavilion with a breathtaking view by Coolabah Building and Landscapes at Kallista Vic
