Ambulance rush to three-vehicle crash at Beaudesert-Nerang Road, Nerang

Ambulance have taken three people to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Nerang-Beaudesert Rd.

THREE people, including two children, were taken to hospital after a serious head-on crash, which closed a lane of Nerang-Beaudesert Rd.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 4.20pm after reports of the three-vehicle crash.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed there were five patients.

All were assessed on scene and three were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A 9-year-old girl was trapped in one of the cars for a short time and crews were forced to cut her out. She had leg and seatbelt injuries and was tranported to hospital.

A 3-year-old boy, who was in the same car, was also taken to hospital stable for surveillance.

Traffic was being diverted to Billabirra Crescent off Beaudesert-Nerang Rd after the crash and traffic was backed up close to a kilometre heading west for some time.
