A person has died in a busy beachside Gold Coast park, despite the efforts of bystanders.

Queensland Ambulance Services were called to Memorial Park in the heart of Burleigh Heads around 7.30am on Friday after reports of a dead body.

Seadog cafe owner Brodie Green said there were multiple ambulances on the scene.

“A customer tried to revive him but he was already dead,” he said.

Many Burleigh Heads locals were worried for the person as they watched on from surrounding cafes.

QAS and Gold Coast police believe it was a medical incident.

Police are investigating but believed it was not suspicious.
