With the normal Dawn Service cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, The Surfers Paradise RSL and Surfers Paradise Alliance have combined to broadcast a service through speakers on the foreshore from 6am.
The Surfers Paradise RSL secretary and treasurer Charles Wright said the commemoration with a difference will encourage people in Surfers Paradise to remember the significance of the day.
