A crash in Hope Island has left commuters at a standstill

Traffic is at a standstill following reports of a four-vehicle crash in Hope Island.
The incident happened just before 4pm Tuesday on Oxley Drive and Broadwater Ave just north of Jabiru Island Bridge.
A witness said a tow truck was seen “screaming past” on the wrong side of the road to get to the scene.
“Traffic is banked up for miles and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and Queensland Ambulance Services are pushing through.”
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said there were no entrapments reported in the nose to tail crash.
A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance Service said a female in her 70s had been transported to Gold Coast University hospital with shock but in a stable condition.
