NEARLY seventy per cent of readers who took part in a Gold Coast Bulletin online poll do not support a Gold Coast cruise ship terminal.
The ‘no’ vote, which canvassed hundreds of readers, comes off the back of a damning report released, highlighting 23 significant risk factors that could derail the project that were blacked out when it was released by council in May last year.

A number of issues were red inked as high risk and medium risk.
The total spend of the project could be as much as $500 million which includes almost $104 million for early works, the same amount to build the jetty and wharf and $232 million for the breakwater.

Councillors have also backflipped on support, initially 10 voted to proceed with the terminal, now five are in opposition to the project.
