A $3.5m barn-style brewery will be home to one of the Gold Coast’s biggest taprooms, a dedicated cocktail bar and live entertainment when it opens in Arundel.
Owner Gemma Roberts said Hound and Stag, which has been under construction at Wrights Place for 12 months, will be the biggest brewery in the north of the city.
“We have created an ‘Instagrammable destination’ with world class food and drinks,” Ms Roberts said.
“This is a brewery for everyone to enjoy.
“There is not a lot of choice on the northern Gold Coast, so we wanted to change that.”
Ms Roberts said 75 per cent of materials used to construct the new venue were recycled.
“This was extremely important to us all from the get go,” she said.
“Sourcing recycled building materials helps to reduce the amount of pollution entering the environment.
“All our recycled materials were sourced from Queensland so we were really trying to do out bit, not only to be environmentally friendly but to support Queensland.”
Hound and Stag will also have a modern Australian cuisine menu, more than 200,000 litres of brewing capacity and 28 beer taps. It opens for the first time at 5pm on Friday December 23.
