Gold Coast development: New plans for 24/7 service station unveiled

A site near one of the Gold Coast’s biggest shopping centres is set to be transformed to build a giant new service station which will be running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

AN industrial site in the Gold Coast's north will be transformed into a large-scale service station under a new plan before council.

AMR Trading has submitted a plan to redevelop the 4059sq m Brisbane Road site.

A small petrol station is already on the land as part of a complex of industrial warehouses.

The convenience shop will be built into part of the warehouse complex which will be retained.

It will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will be the only service station of its kind in the area.

The developer held a pre-lodgement meeting with the council in November and planning staff raised no concerns.
