SHOCKING footage has emerged of a wild brawl that left “blood on the path” at one of the region’s most popular beaches.
Residents and visitors of Ocean Grove have been left “disgusted” by the brazen violence involving more than four people at the seaside town’s main beach.
Vision shows a group of people swinging punches at each other “with families and kids watching on” in broad daylight.
The incident has caused outrage among an Ocean Grove community group.
“So disturbing to watch”,” said Bec Linda.
Resident, Wendy Moor, said she didn’t look forward to living in the town during the summer months.
“How disgusting,” she said.
Ash Walker agreed.
“We are very lucky to live so close to such a beautiful beach but this is why I stay away in summer” she said.
Evie Leslie called it “ugly behaviour” while another said she had experienced “rude and aggressive behaviour towards shop and cafe staff” and “road rage in car parks.”
“And now a four man brawl at main beach last night with families and kids watching on, that left quite a bit of blood on the path,” she said.
“Welcome to summer 2022 in Ocean Grove.”
It’s believed vision of the incident has been handed to Victoria Police, who have been contacted for comment.
It comes as thousands of New Year’s Eve revellers prepare to bring in 2023 across the regions coastal towns.
