Victoria Police arrest Lara man, 31, over aggravated burglary at Armstrong Creek

A Lara man, 31, will face court charged with aggravated burglary and theft following an arrest near an Armstrong Creek property.

A Lara man is in custody following a home invasion in Armstrong Creek.

The 31-year-old has been placed on remand to face the Geelong Magistrates Court on Tuesday, charged with aggravated burglary and theft,

Police were quick to arrest the alleged offender after he fled the scene on Sanderling Ave on Monday.

It’s believed he gained entry to a home about 9.40am.

He was located and placed in handcuffs nearby a short time later.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman told the Geelong Advertiser said no one was physically injured during the incident.

It comes as residents in Armstrong Creek reported seeing a police helicopter circling the area this morning.
