A teenager has been caught by police for allegedly driving more than 50km/h over the speed limit along a highway in Waurn Ponds.

A P-plater, who has held a license for less than a year, has been busted by police for allegedly driving more than 50km/h over the speed limit along a highway in Waurn Ponds.
Geelong Highway Patrol officers said they saw the black Ford sedan travelling at 154km/h in a 100km/h zone along the Ring Road on Tuesday morning about 2.30am.
The 19-year-old driver was pulled over by police, fined $962 and her license was suspended for 12 months.
It comes as officers continue to target speeding drivers across the region.
In May, police nabbed more than 80 drivers speeding on Geelong roads in a single day.
A 24-year-old Wodonga man, who police said was unlicensed, was allegedly travelling at 93km/h in a 80km/h along the Princes Hwy in Norlane with false number plates.
He was charged and bailed to appear in Wodonga court in September.
A 52-year-old Ocean Grove man was also spotted speeding by police, travelling at 144km/h in a 100km/h along the Bellarine Hwy.
He was fined $786 and lost his licence for six months
