A man was arrested after a suspicious blaze at a North Geelong unit on Tuesday morning.

A man has been arrested after a suspicious blaze tore through a North Geelong unit on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to a two-storey unit on Coxon Pde about 2.15am after multiple calls were made to triple-0.
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesman said crews arrived on scene to find the home “well alight”.
“The adjoining duplex was totally involved on both floors with fire extension to other properties.
“The occupants had evacuated, and everyone was accounted for.”
Police confirmed a 63-year-old North Geelong man was arrested at the scene but released pending further inquiries.
“The fire is being treated as suspicious and a crime scene has been established,” a police spokeswoman said.
“The investigation remains ongoing.”
At least 20 firefighters battled the blaze wearing breathing apparatuses.
Paramedics were also called to monitor the health of firefighters.
Earlier in the night, emergency services were called to a blaze on Thrush St in Norlane about 12.30am.
It’s understood no one was inside at the time of the fire but the property was damaged.
