Police are investigating a collision involving a City of Greater Geelong council car at the intersection of Corio and Gheringhap streets on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to the two-car collision around 8.45am.
A FRV spokesman said firefighters arrived at the scene around 8.50am to find one person was trapped in a vehicle, and the team worked to free them.
Ambulance Victoria officers assessed two people at the scene.
A 52-year-old man was taken to Geelong’s University Hospital with minor injuries, while another person did not require hospitalisation.
The council car and a black Audi were towed away from the scene.
A Victoria Police spokesman said police would investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
