Emergency services tackle house fire at Willis St, Winchelsea
The cause of a blaze that consumed a Winchelsea home on Saturday morning is unclear, after almost a dozen vehicles raced to the scene to put it out.

An investigation is underway into the cause of a blaze that gutted a Winchelsea home on Saturday morning.
A Country Fire Authority (CFA) spokeswoman said crews responded to a structure fire at Wills St just after 10am this morning on Willis Street Winchelsea.
“Crews arrived to find a house fully involved in fire,” the spokeswoman said.
CFA had 11 vehicles on scene from numerous brigades, supported by firefighters from Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV).
“Police were called to the scene for traffic management and the relevant power and gas companies were notified,” the spokeswoman said.
The CFA put out a Stay Informed alert for Winchelsea residents as firefighters tackled the blaze, warning those nearby they may see or smell smoke.
While the incident was declared under control at 11.30am, crews remain on scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
A Victoria Police spokesman said the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
Ambulance Victoria responded to reports of an incident in Winchelsea just before 10.10am, an AV spokeswoman said.
No emergency treatment or transport was required.
