Ingham car accident: Two vehicles collide on Haig, Herbert streets

Five people are being assessed for injuries after a nasty two-vehicle car crash in Ingham on Monday afternoon.

Five people are being assessed for injuries following a nasty two-vehicle car crash in Ingham on Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews from Queensland Fire, Police and Ambulance responded to the incident on the intersection of Haig Street and Herbert Street on the Bruce Highway in the middle of the Hinchinbrook town about 4pm.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed five people, at least four of whom appeared to be elderly, from the two vehicles were being assessed for injuries.

QAS confirmed that a sole patient had been transported to Ingham in a stable condition.

Ingham Police are investigating.
