There’s nothing better than a delicious brunch in good company and Best of the Gold Coast can now reveal the best spot for it in the region, as voted by you.
Emerald Lakes cafe Cabukee has taken out this year’s Best Brunch title with everything from its colourful salads to juicy burgers a hit with the customers.
Owner and chef Fin Tully said he started the café two years ago with his wife, Risa, and was forever grateful for their loyal customers – especially during the hard times of COVID-19.

“Without them we are nothing. We got some really incredible customers, and we are very thankful that they have kept us alive and make us thrive during this time,” he said.
He said the past months had been challenging, but they were very happy with how it had now changed from them initially thinking they could lose their business when the pandemic hit, to ‘thriving at the moment’.
He said the recipe for a successful restaurant was caring about their customers.
“We have to really put an effort in to making sure our customers are happy – because if we don’t – we’re not going to last very long.”
