TWO teenagers, including one as young as 13, have allegedly robbed a taxi driver on the Gold Coast this morning after threatening they had weapons.

Around 1.30am this morning, a taxi driver picked up the two boys, aged 13 and 17, from the Esplanade at Paradise Point.

He took the pair to a service station on Broadwater Avenue in Hope Island as per their request.

Once they arrived, the two boys threatened the 39-year-old driver, claiming they had weapons.

They demanded cash and stole the man’s bag before fleeing the scene.

Police were called and the dog squad found the two boys on Crescent Avenue soon after.
