Two teenagers have faced court after they allegedly threatened two women with a knife and stole their car before leading police on a dramatic chase across the Gold Coast yesterday.

TWO teenagers accused of threatening two women with a knife and stealing their car will spend the night behind bars.
The 14-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl both had their matters heard briefly in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.
The girl had her matter adjourned until tomorrow while her lawyer and Youth Justice confirm a residential address for her.
The court was told the girl was granted bail last week for unrelated matters.
The boy appeared in court briefly but withdrew his application for bail after his family told his lawyer they were unwilling to have the boy in their home.
The boy’s matter was adjourned to January 14.

It is alleged the boy approached the driver of a Mazda 3 as a woman, 30, and girl, 17, left their car at Australia Fair Shopping Centre.
The boy is accused of threatening the woman with a knife and demanding her keys while the girl is accused of demanding the 17-year-old hand over her phone.
It is alleged the police helicopter followed the car down the from Nerang-Southport Rd and onto the Pacific Motorway about 6.55pm.
The car was stopped by a tyre deflation device at Underwood.
The boy was charged with one count each of armed robbery, unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.
The girl was charged with one count each of armed robbery, unlawful use of motor vehicle and stealing.
The 30-year-old woman and 17-year-old girl were not physically injured during the incident.
