A TEENAGER will spend New Year’s Eve behind bars after allegedly being caught with suspected stolen goods, drugs and a knife in Tweed Heads on Friday.
About 9.40pm, police stopped a car on Shearwater Pde allegedly being driven by a 17-year-old man with a disqualified driving license.
The Carbrook teen was searched where police allegedly discovered cannabis, meth, a knife, screw driver and Apple Airpods.

The man was taken to Tweed Heads Police Station and charged with disqualified driving, two accounts of possessing a prohibited drug, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, custody of a knife and goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
The man was refused bail and is due to appear before Tweed Heads Children’s Court on January 23.
