Traffic is backed up for kilometres along the M1 after a bizarre carjacking on the Gold Coast.
It’s believed a person has carjacked a car at the Palm Beach exit around 4pm, causing traffic to be delayed as emergency services were called.
No on is believed to be injured.
It is understood threats were made to the occupant of the alleged stolen car, before the person drove southbound along the M1.
The driver, now in a black Mazda, is believed to have crossed into NSW.
