A WOMAN who had been granted bail after she led police on a wild car chase through the Gold Coast just two weeks ago, found herself back in court.
Stephanie Boody, 23, was denied bail after being charged with receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of drugs and utensils in Southport Magistrates Court today.
The former Merrimac High School student, who worked part-time as a stablehand on the Gold Coast, was given bail just two weeks ago after she led police on a wild car chase through the city.
Boody was arrested early this morning after she was allegedly in possession of a stolen car along with drugs and a drug utensil.
Police say a car, which was reported stolen from an Oxenford address on Tuesday, was spotted by officers in the carpark of the Hinterland Hotel, Nerang at 2am.
After making inquiries, police found Ms Boody inside the hotel and in possession of the keys to the car.
Police searched the car and found a quantity of methamphetamine, cannabis and a pipe.
Magistrate Gary Finger denied Ms Boody bail, sighting her long list of offences in a short space of time.
“I’m concerned about her reoffending and her failure to appear (in court),” he said.

Ms Boody was visibly upset at the decision and repeatedly asked the magistrate if she could speak to her mother who was in attendance.
“Can I see my mum quickly? Can I speak to her?” Boody said.
Boody sobbed loudly as she was escorted out of the courtroom.
She will remain in custody until her next appearance on August 18. She will also face court for the earlier charges on August 19.
Police say the burglary is still under investigation.
