TRIBUTES have poured in for Harrison Geppert, 17, after he was found dead in a Gold Coast park overnight.
The younger brother of former Hells Angel bikie Ben “Notorious” Geppert was found stabbed to death around 5.40pm yesterday in Frascott Park, Varsity Lakes.
An 18-year-old man today appeared in court charged with one count of murder in relation to Geppert’s death.
Flowers have begun appearing at the scene.
The woman, who identified herself as Cathy, sobbed as she placed the first bouquet while saying “this shouldn’t be happening.”
“From a mother’s perspective, it’s horrid,” she said.
“My kids grew up here.”
Friends and family posted messages online, including from his brother’s fiancee Allaina Vader who posted to Instagram last night “we are shattered”.
“I’m lost for words ... My hearts broken for Ben. Harry Geppert you were a little s--t but you were such (a) beautiful person you just needed some better guidance,” she wrote.
“You were a little kid only 17 years young. I thought we would of had time to talk again, after our silly fight we had.
“I’m sorry this happened to you. I wish we were there for you. I feel sick (sic).”
Monique Brown posted to Facebook saying she couldn’t believe he was dead.
“RIP Harry can’t believe this happened, me and Beth were only just talking about how fun our piss ups were and how much we missed the old days. You didn’t deserve this one bit fly high brother (sic),” she said.
Geppert was understood to have suffered “significant back injuries”.
The incident occurred in the dog park section of the popular council-run community hub.
Police and emergency services remained on scene today.
A blue tent has been set up by police, placed outside the gate to the fenced dog park.
The dog park is currently occupied by a dozen dogs and their owners, continuing with their day as normal.
Police continue having a heavy presence.
Acting Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith is appealing for witnesses to come forth with any information.
“About 5.35pm police were called to the dog park who located a male person who is now deceased,” Supt Smith said.

“We are keen to talk to anyone who was in the area at the time. Particularly anyone who may have been walking their dog or cars going past with dashcams.
“There’s conflicting versions how he got there and where he came from. So at this point it would be too early to say what happened.
“It’s concerning it’s happened in a public place.”
Gold Coast City Council staff who monitor the park’s network of CCTV cameras were last night combing through footage to determine whether the incident was caught on one of seven cameras watching over the park.
Any footage will be turned over to the Queensland Police Service.
“I have been in contact with our CCTV monitoring staff and they are going through all vision possible to assist police with their inquiries,” area councillor Hermann Vorster told the Bulletin last night.
Police officers door knocked residents living nearby to the crime scene.
Police officers combed the scene with torches and police dogs while Polair flew overhead.
Residents who live near where the stabbing occurred were unable to park in their driveway after returning home from work.
They said police had blocked off their street and they had to park nearby.
