POLICE have raided the home of an alleged ringleader of the ‘Mexican hoon cartel’ terrorising Gold Coast streets.
The Varsity Lakes home was searched early this evening however it is unknown what exactly sparked the raid.
Earlier this month the group brazenly goaded police on social media, performing dangerous stunts on the street outside an Elanora police beat.
The post read: “Happy Valentine’s day to Queensland Policia from your favourite cartel.”
A 20-year-old man has been arrested and is expected to face court for a string of dangerous driving offences later this week.
