POLICE have allegedly uncovered a sophisticated meth lab in a home in Helensvale.

Three men were arrested at the Latrobe Ave home at 6.30am, where it will be alleged police located 500 grams of ice, LSD, cannabis, cash, firearms and ammunition.

It will also be alleged police located equipment suspected to have been used in a drug lab.

Officers raided the home about 6.30am after tip offs from members of the public led them to the house that neighbours said was ‘like Fort Knox’.

Neighbours told the Bulletin they heard loud banging coming from the home this morning.

“We then saw a lot of police cars, it was very unusual,” the neighbour said.

“It’s a very quiet area, but we do notice a lot of cars coming and going from that house.”

The house had bolstered security, with a reinforced gate and hidden cameras in the trees overlooking the street.
