TWO people have been charged after police discovered drugs hidden inside a “hydraulically driven” coffee table during a Robina drug bust on Tuesday.

Police searched the Parnell Boulevard residence around 7.05pm and located a quantity of methamphetamine inside a coffee table, which used a hydraulic motor to open.
They also discovered a clear liquid suspected to be used in production of the dangerous drug and around $4250 in cash inside the home.
A 27-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, both from Robina, have been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and possession of property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence.
Both will appear in Southport Magistrate Court on May 15.
