A MAN rubbed a blanket covered in dog faeces over his partner’s face, pinned her to a toilet and urinated into her mouth, a court was told.
Police will also allege Tayne Joseph Latu Burridge slapped the woman about 25 times on one day and told her “I wish this was the 1900s and I could slap you whenever I wanted”.
The alleged offending occurred over a two-month period from May 9.
Burridge, 26, appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court today charged with multiple counts of common assault.
He made a bail application but it was denied by Magistrate John Costanzo.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Doug Bettany told the court Burridge locked the woman outside of the house on June 26 while she was wearing nothing but underwear.
He allegedly told her to sleep like a “dog” and poured a dog bowl of water over her.
On different days, Burridge is also accused of striking the woman in the face and slapping her face with an open palm and backhand up to 35 times.
The court was told the pair had arguments about the woman’s past sexual relationships and money issues.
Mr Costanzo said Burridge did not get bail because he was an “unacceptable risk of reoffending.”
Burridge will be mentioned in court again on July 26 when he will appear via video link from custody.
