ONE of the Gold Coast’s most notorious bikies, Nick ‘the knife’ Forbes, has been extradited back to Queensland, days after he was released from a South Australian jail.

Forbes faced Adelaide Magistrates Court yesterday, where Queensland detectives were granted an extradition order for the former Fink, turned Mongol.

His arrest comes after a protracted police investigation dubbed Operation Lima Violin, which involved a cold call investment scam allegedly involving more than 30 fraudulently trading businesses.

It is alleged the offences occurred on the Gold Coast between 2012 and 2013.

The 49-year-old has been charged with fraud and money laundering charges.

He will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 29.

Organised Crime Gangs Group Detective Inspector Larissa Miller advised residents to “remain vigilant at all times.

“This arrest is testament to our unrelenting efforts to target those who seek to prey on the community,” she said.

“If you are in doubt, ensure you seek your own independent verifiable financial advice before making any investments. Make sure you decide what happens with your hard-earned money, not the criminals.”

Forbes was also involved in a stoush that is part of the Coast’s underworld folklore.

A feared bikie enforcer, part of the infamous ‘Terror Team’, Forbes was at the centre of the ‘Ballroom Blitz’ a wild brawl between the Finks and the Hells Angels during a kickboxing tournament at the Royal Pines Resort in March 2006.

The melee broke out when Forbes threw a punch at Christopher Hudson, which quickly descended into shots being fired and a number of people being stabbed.

It’s believed the fight broke out because Hudson defected from the Finks to the Hells Angels.

Forbes spent 27 months behind bars for the violent incident.

In January 2008, Forbes was arrested for his part in a violent rampage through Broadbeach Mall, randomly attacking up to six innocent young men, one punched so hard he fractured his eye socket.

He was extradited to South Australia to face court for his involvement in another wild brawl inside an Adelaide nightclub, again going toe to toe with the Hells Angels in May 2011.

Initially acquitted over the charges relating to the brawl, Forbes faced a retrial in 2016, before being sentenced to two and a half years prison for his part in the fight in December that year.
