A motorist is lucky to be alive after a shocking failure to stop crash, where a car rammed another in a rear-end collision before continuing along the M1.
The crash happened at 6am this morning along the M1 in Tugun, northbound.
A white hatchback collided heavily with a Toyota Corolla, smashing into the back right hand side of the car.
In the footage, debris can be seen hurtling through the air, while the Corolla veers to the left and almost hits the side.
The second car doesn’t appear to slow down and continues along the road and into the bypass tunnel.
The female driver of the Corolla was uninjured and was taken to hospital, before being released.
Tweed police say the second, unidentified car has signage on both sides and heavy damage on its left passenger side.
