FANS of the Gold Coast Bulletin’s coverage on the Mexican Hoon Cartel have paid homage to the stories about their members being arrested.

Much like a Viking funeral, where warriors were pushed out to sea in a boat and then set alight by flaming arrows, the Mexican Hoon Cartel have given a similar tribute to the paper’s in-depth coverage.

A video uploaded to Facebook on Wednesday night shows members of the group pretending to read the paper before a car does a burnout.

A balaclava-clad person then throws the paper into the spinning wheels, which causes the paper to explode.

The youngish-looking protagonist then proceeds to give a camera the one finger salute, as his mates in the car spin off into the growing darkness.
