A MAN who twice choked a close friend and bit her repeatedly on the face, neck and breasts has been handed down his sentence after his sickening attack.

A MAN who twice choked a close friend and bit her repeatedly on the face, neck and breasts will spend the next two months in prison.

The horrifying attack happened after the woman told Marcin Rybicki, 33, she did not want to be in a relationship with him on September 22 last year.

Rybicki pleaded guilty in Southport District Court to three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of assault.

Judge Paul Smith sentenced him yesterday to 18 months prison to be suspended after he served two months.

“I have found this case to be a very difficult one,” Mr Smith said.

“You attacked this woman twice in her own home.”

The court heard the woman had turned Rybicki’s suggestion of a more serious relationship down and he attacked when he returned from the bathroom.

He held the woman down on the couch, strangling and biting her.

The woman told the court she thought she was going to die.

“I am going to kill you,” Rybicki told the woman.

The woman managed to escape to her upstairs bedroom, but Rybicki followed her and again strangled and bit her.

Once again the woman managed to escape and call a friend for help.
