A GOLD Coast man has been charged after he allegedly punched a bus driver in the face three times.
Its alleged a 22-year-old man from Mermaid Beach approached a 54-year-old bus driver on Hooker Boulevard in Broadbeach last Sunday and started to yell at him.
It is understood the pair got into a verbal argument before the 22-year-old allegedly assaulted the bus driver by punching him in the face three times.

The bus driver received bruising to the right side of his head and eye area as well as a bloodied nose. He was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The 22-year-old was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on August 7.
