A MAN and woman were robbed at knifepoint at a popular shopping centre car park on the Gold Coast overnight.

Police say a man a man approached a man and a woman who were sitting in a parked vehicle at Harbour Town shopping centre before producing a knife and demanding property at about 11.20pm.

A MAN and woman were robbed at knifepoint at a shopping centre car park in Biggera Waters overnight.

Police say a man a man approached a man and a woman who were sitting in a parked vehicle at Harbour Town shopping centre before producing a knife and demanding property at about 11.20pm.

The pair complied with the man’s demands, handing over personal items before the man fled the scene in another car, which had been parked nearby.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

The man is described as caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall and of a medium build.

The vehicle is described as a dark coloured sedan and was last seen driving northbound along Oxley Drive.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision from the area between 10:50pm and 11:30pm to contact police.
