A MAGICIAN’S bag of tricks was stolen while she was on her way to perform in Burleigh Heads.
Silloo Taraporewalla was booked to entertain a crowd at a picnic on Sunday which she had spent weeks preparing for but her gear vanished while she popped into a shop.
The hobbyist magician estimates the stolen equipment was worth about $1000 and included invaluable personal notes she collected over the past decade.
“My ten years of work gone,” Ms Taraporewalla wrote in a Facebok post, shared in a Gold Coast community group.
“I cannot understand who will benefit by hurting somebody totally innocent like me.
“I am so depressed since then. I can’t think. I feel very much violated and hurt.”

Ms Taraporewalla said she made the mistake of not locking her car when stopping at a shop at Myall St, Southport to see a friend on Friday about 3.15pm.
“We just had to give something to my friend so we thought we will only be few minutes,” she wrote.
“There was no one in the street, no cars, no people.
“We entered the shop and we were just standing in the shop at the door facing the inside and my friend was standing facing the road.
“We were talking and soon after that nearby school finished and lots of school kids walked past.
“We left the shop and reached our apartment and realised that the magic bag was missing.”
Ms Taraporewalla is asking members of the public to keep an eye out for any magic equipment which appears for sale in case it is hers.
