Logan Dreier fighting for his life after horror Southport crash
The driver of a ute who is fighting for his life after being involved in a horror crash in Southport this morning is an 18-year-old alleged by police to be a member of a low-level street gang.

A MEMBER of a low-level street gang is fighting for his life after the stolen car he was driving hit a power pole and flipped onto its side in Southport this morning, police allege.
Logan Dreier, 18, was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition after he was found five metres from the vehicle about 9.30am.
It’s understood Dreier is a member of the Street Team Brotherhood, a low-level street gang on the Gold Coast.

Police sources confirmed Dreier was the driver. The passenger in the car, a 17-year-old, was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
It will be alleged Dreier, 18, another 18-year-old and the 17-year-old tried to break into a home on Howard Hughes Court, Maudsland about 9am, before a terrified 16-year-old girl, who was home at the time, called the police.
The three men fled the scene in a stolen car when police arrived, before dumping it on Kopps Rd in Oxenford about 9.10am and running into bushland, it is alleged.
An 18-year-old was taken into custody at Movie World. No-one has been charged over the alleged incident.
Police allege Dreier and the 17-year-old stole another car from Movie World about 9.20am and were spotted travelling south on the M1.
It is understood police pursued the car and when it turned the corner from Nerang St onto Queen St, it lost control, hit a power pole and flipped on to its side.
Dreier remains in a critical condition at Gold Coast University Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
