Police prosecutor Michelle Hussar said it would take police five weeks to pull together the evidence.
Mr Hannay said the evidence should be ready.
“They are historical charges going back to 1999,” he said.
“The evidence should be ready, they should be available.”
Magistrate Kerry Magee granted five weeks for the brief be provided and the matter was adjourned to April 12.
The charges will also be moved to the specialised domestic and family violence court.
Earlier today Ms Robinson’s family and the Red Rose Foundation held a rally outside the Southport Courthouse.
