THE director of Gold Coast’s McLarens Landing surrendered himself yesterday after skipping a court date on Monday.
Jason Nicholls, 41, presented himself to Southport Magistrates Court this morning after failing to show up for matters in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
Nicholls is charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Defence lawyer Lee Quinn, of Hannay Lawyers, said he spoke with Nicholls after he missed the court date.

“He said he got his dates confused,” he said.
Magistrate Gary Finger recalled a warrant for Nicholls’ arrest and adjourned the matter to Brisbane on November 1.
Nicholls is also accused of using thousands of dollars from Christmas party deposits to fund a gambling habit.
He is charged with numerous counts of fraud.
Those matters will return to Southport Magistrates Court on November 5.
Late last week a wind-up order based on insolvency was issued by the Supreme Court in Brisbane.
