AN ice addict cried hysterically in court yesterday as she was handcuffed and sent to jail for her latest crime spree.
Stephanie Frances Boody begged Magistrate Joan White in the Southport Magistrates Court to let her go, promising to start rehab.
Her dramatic breakdown came after she pleaded guilty to more than 30 charges.
The crimes included being caught with drugs in a Southport hotel room, driving a stolen car and being under the influence of drugs while in the passenger’s seat of a car parked opposite the courthouse.
The series of offending began in March and ended last month.
MAGISTRATE HITS OUT AT ICE ADDICT
The 24-year-old was last year sentenced to six months in jail for sparking a wild police chase through the Gold Coast during which two officers were injured. She spent 55 days in pre-sentence custody.

Defence lawyer Sam Jackson, of Bamberry Lawyers, said Boody moved to the Gold Coast when she was 14 after her parents divorced and became swept up in the drug scene.
“She discovered the seemingly glamorous lifestyle of the Gold Coast, in a negative way,” Mr Jackson said.
“She was introduced to amphetamines in 2016.”

Boody grew up working with animals and formerly worked as a stable hand, the court was told.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Kasey Lowe said on April 9 Boody was found inside a Southport hotel room with a stash of drugs including marijuana.
Police were searching for a stolen car that went missing from a suburban home and found it — as well as two other stolen cars — in the hotel’s car park.
CCTV footage at the hotel showed Boody entering one of the rooms with a group of people while carrying an Adidas backpack.
Police searched the room and found a couple of grams of marijuana, prescription drugs and drug utensils inside the bag.
Boody told officers some of those items did not belong to her and had been shoved into the bag by others in the room who had scrambled to hide their illegal activity, the court was told.
“She said she had no excuse for possessing the prescribed medication,” Sgt Lowe said.
Ms White said Boody needed to go to jail to “dry out.” She also said Boody was “not without hope” after being told that she had the support of her family.
Boody was sentenced to 12 months in jail and will be released on parole on September 11.
