Residents of a Varsity Lakes street got a rude awakening when a car smashed into the back fence of a two-storey home just after midnight last night.
Two people were at home at the time of the crash, which occurred on the corner of University Drive and assembly Drive, Varsity Lakes.
One resident told the Bulletin they heard the car slam into their fence around 12.20am last night just metres away from their living room.
The vehicle crashed through the wooden fence, even knocking loose solid concrete boulders.

It is alleged the male driver fled from the scene.
Debris from the crash also landed in the property next door.
Krystal Pomplum said crashes were an extremely common occurrence at a neighbouring roundabout.
“I’ve lived here for a year and a half and there have been at least seven documented or not documented car crashes between the roundabout and 50m up the road,” she said.
